Last week, I drove down the M1 to embarked on an extraordinary adventure that took me to London’s Warner Bros Harry Potter Studio. Hosted by the charming Alex Polizzi, the evening was a magical experience filled with awe-inspiring moments and the anticipation of a prestigious award. Little did I know that this enchanting journey would culminate in the sweet taste of victory—a Gold Award for the Experience of the Year by Visit Britain! It was a moment that filled my eyes with tears and my heart with pride and showcased how far we had come and the incredible dedication of our remarkable team.

After the long drive down, I arrived at the hotel and checked in, the jumped into a hot bath before putting on my jazzy suit. The night began about 6.30pm, with a captivating guided tour through the very halls where the magic of Harry Potter was brought to life. As I wandered through the Great Hall, marveling at the intricate details that made the wizarding world feel so tangible. From Dumbledore’s office to the Gryffindor common room, every corner oozed with the essence of J.K. Rowling’s beloved creation. It was a behind-the-scenes journey that immersed us in the wizarding realm, leaving me starry-eyed and spellbound. I’m not a Harry Potter fan really, but you can’t help being drawn in by the whole experience.
As we sat down for dinner, I looked around the room and I had to give myself a little pinch as I could not believe I was here. To be nominated for the Experience of the Year award was an honor in itself—a testament to the tireless efforts and passion our team pours into providing exceptional experiences for our guests. But as the evening unfolded and the award ceremony commenced, my excitement soared to unimaginable heights when our name was announced as the winner! The room erupted in applause, and I couldn’t contain our joy and pride. To receive such recognition from Visit Britain, the esteemed authority on British tourism, was truly a dream come true.

Winning this award is a testament to their passion, hard work, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
